Luciana is a journalist specializing in gender issues. She has written for the Las12 supplement to the Argentine newspaper Página 12 for twenty years. She has also written for periodicals including The New York Times, El País, La Marea, Yo Dona, Anfibia, Luna, Para Ti, Veintitrés, and Crítica. She presents workshops on gender narrative for universities, newspapers, and labor unions throughout Argentina and is a regular contributor to the radio stations Radio Nacional and FM Rock Nacional.
She has authored three books: Putita Golosa: por un feminismo del goce; La revolución de las mujeres no era solo una píldora, and Mujeres ferroviarias, experiencias de vida sobre rieles. Luciana has received the Outstanding Woman of the Decade award from Argentina’s Federal Public Policy Institute, the Lola Mora Career Award from the Buenos Aires Women’s Administration, and the Written Press Award “Por la vida de las mujeres, ni una muerte más,” awarded by ISIS International and sponsored by UNIFEM. She was granted a Young Latin American Journalists fellowship by Germany and directed by the Goethe Institute.
